Want to avoid a blocked heart? Link it to AADHAR!

In our previous post, we were talking about how making simple changes in what you eat, how often you exercise, how much you weigh, and how you manage stress can help put the brakes on heart disease.

This post we will talk about heart blocks. Can you actually avoid a blocked heart? Well, yes you can if you link your heart to AADHAR! You might be wondering how can a person link their heart to AADHAR. I’ll elaborate on that in this post. So, what does AADHAR in case of heart health actually stand for?

Asprin

The first aid for a heart attack is aspirin. The reason you need aspirin is the same reason why you should call an ambulance without delay. Aspirin reduces the risk of blood clot formations in the arteries. It helps patients lower the risk of a heart stroke or an attack. But the aspirin therapy is not for everyone as it can cause serious bleeding. Consult your cardiologist, and he will help you decide if aspirin is a good choice for you.

Activity

Your heart gets stronger and healthier if you lead an active life. You don’t have to be an athlete to start working out. An activity like walking, running or climbing stairs for 30 minutes a day can make a big difference. People who don’t take up any activity, are almost twice as likely to get heart disease as people who are active.

Diet

Sometimes, it might get really tough to change your eating habits. However, a healthy diet is good for your heart. Including certain types of food will help you keep your ticker happy for decades to come. I will share the diet plan for a healthy heart in my next blog.

Hostility

Hostility plays a big role in heart diseases. Hostility may actually influence heart disease risk as much as smoking, obesity or inactivity. If you can think positively, you may be able to improve your heart health, feel better and live longer.

Awareness

Patient awareness is a key to heart disease prevention. We are so busy taking care of everyone else, that we need to be constantly reminded to take care of ourselves. I would strongly recommend on keeping yourself aware on the symptoms, precaution, prevention and first aid tips related to cardiovascular diseases.

Risk factor management

Knowing the risks is the first step to prevent heart diseases. There’s no one cause for heart diseases, but there are risk factors that increase your chance of developing it. The more risk factors you have, the bigger is your risk is of a heart attack or stroke. Most heart disease risk factors can be changed, and there’s plenty you can do about them. Keep a check on your cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes levels and keep your ticker happy. Today, while we are linking everything – from mobile numbers to PAN Cards – to AADHAR, let’s not forget to link our life-giving organ to it. While the deadlines for linking your PAN cards have been extended to March 31st, link your heart to AADHAR today itself to prevent heart blockages.
